Worker's Party of Mengistua

The Workers Party of Mengistua was founded in 2005 by Haile Siad al-Bashar in an attempt to structure Mengistua on Marxist-Leninist lines. The WPM line is very unique and Haile Siad al-Bashar claims he has unified Scientific Socialism and Islam to a level directly suited to the conditions of Mengistua, basing social laws on Islam and economics on Marxism-Leninism. It can be said that Islamic and Marxist-Leninist economics have many similarities and that this form of Marxism-Leninism is closer to Ba'athism or Islamic Socialism than orthodox Marxism-Leninism.

The Workers Party has been focused on getting Mengistua as a founding member of the United Arab States as well as organizing the government in their own country and eradicating social problems.
