The WorldVision Song Contest is a competition between different countries in NationStates. The contest is similar to Eurovision, as all participating countries submit one song to perform on television, and then vote on the songs from other countries, to decide the most popular song. However, the contest is not associated with a broadcasting union, and instead any country can enter, and instead a country and its broadcasting company enter their country in, and are responsible for selecting an artist and a song to represent the country.

The contest was originally started to promote world peace, but that theme quickly died down during the very first contest, with the hosts of the second edition anouncing that they will stand for free speech, rather than a political theme. Now, although the contest serves no real political purpose, it has helped popularise many of the participating songs inside and outside the participating countries, although some of the songs have been mostly forgotten after the contest they were entered into ended.
