The first World Baseball Classic took place in various locations around the world. The final knock-out games were played in Qazox, with the championship series in Oxen Stadium, Fromburg. 16 teams were invited and placed into 4 pools of 4 teams. The top two teams from each pool advanced to the knockout stages. The quarterfinals and semifinals were best 2 of 3, while the finals were best 3 of 5.

The Gnomes from Az-cz eventually rose to the top of the table with many of their victories coming by the score of 3-2 and very few being large wins. They won through very good fundamentals and a lot of luck.

(Please note for ERA purposes, any game that ended with the home team winning in the 9th or later, that inning was counted as 1/2 an inning.) Teams in Blue have advanced to the 2nd round.
