Zeeland

Zeeland is the largest administrative subdivision in Halandra and the second most populated after Littoralia Prefecture. The official language is Zeelandse, a dialect of Dutch.

The economy of Zeeland is focused on agriculture and high technology. Halandra's aerospace sector is one of the major world players, with the aircraft and avionics manufacturer IRG (Industriëler Ruimtegroep) employing 20% of the workforce in metropolitan Vissingenpolder.

Government

Zeeland is administered by a unicameral parliament of representatives responsible for drafting laws, levying taxes, and allocating funds for public services. The official head of government is the Governor-General, who is directly elected three years in a vote of the people.

Transportation

Zeeland is served by Halandra's major railroads. The airline is also served by the Vissingenpolder based Zuid-Halandra Luchtvaartdienst.
