Zero (Aurono character)

Zero is an influential "character" (though his/it's interpretation as a character is somewhat disputed - judging by common sense and Zero's own words, a classification as a law of physics or an incarnated natural force would be much more accurate) of Aurono's "Ghost in The Flesh" plotline. In a great battle, which was later covered up as the StarFire Crisis, the crazed Symbiote Muro Hasegawa was defeated by his sister, May Hasegawa. His soul left his flesh, but the flesh itself remained alive, it would have been necessary to kill every single cell to effectively halt the body's regeneration and progressing evolution. Unit 731 moved into the destructed zone and obtained the body, which was subsequently deep-frozen, encased into a shell of lead and dug into a subterranean Vault underneath the Utah Olympic Park in Salt Lake City, Kotaka, to prevent him from reaching Evolution's End Point. The regeneration would eventually restore his brain, which previously held his personality, his "Ghost", but it was assumed that the brain would be recreated in a "Blank Pattern", without his personality, which would be irreversibly lost. This frozen, mindless body was given the name "Zero", because of the Zero-bit Blank Memory Pattern of an otherwise fully functional Symbiote body. When Unit 731 was taken over by the META Syndicate, Aurono's shadow government, Zero fell into META's hands. META conducted cloning on Zero and created several "Spawns", namely Jade, Ruby, Amber and Crystal. Two years later, a telegraph line was established from Aurono to Kotaka, the first wired communication eastwards since the telephone grid had been destroyed during the War. This allowed META to take steps for their ultimate plan: They wanted to hack into Zero's blank brain and use the body as their own body to become god-like beings. But for this, Zero would still require some interaction from the outside world to remove the seals arround him. For this, META created another clone, NeRo. NeRo was the most powerful of the clones and was kept in a high security prison vault in Alcatraz. His ultimate purpose would be to destroy the security measures containing Zero. However, NeRo was abducted by the Organization PHOENIX, who, ironically, was planning a similar move, however not to become gods, but to destroy META by releasing Zero's power - which would drag at least the entire region of Sudeki, if not the world, along into annihilation. Kotaka suffered alot from the many world powers that now made moves into its territory to get their hands on the ultimate power. The waveforms emitted by the reawakening Zero called Symbiotes from all over Sudeki. They gathered at the Aurono Martial Arts Tournament to fight for the ultimate power. But META and many non-Symbiotes, such as Cao Zhan and Kari, were participating as well. When the seal around Zero was broken, he awoke - but his mind was not a "Zero-Bit Blank Pattern". META was unhappy and dispatched a strike team to retrieve Zero. This team included Restrictor-controlled J9-SLDs. Atop a damaged bridge, Zero lost against the troops. Zero entered the headquarters of META and killed the organization's top dogs, releasing PHOENIX in the process. The Restrictors destroyed, the only way to maintain latency was lost. Zero took control over his Spawns and thus over the remains of META and PHOENIX. NeRo, K and Angel leave, troops of both organizations hot on their trail. In a final move, a remaining unit of META, not loyal to Zero, kills NeRo's Restrictor, Angel, to awaken his ultimate powers.
