The Zuniga-class Cruiser orignially was planned as a multipurpose destroyer, but due to the size and armament, it was classified as a cruiser.

The first Zuniga-class cruiser was built in 1995, and a total of 500 have been built since. These vessels are part of the Asgarnian Naval Force's plan to continually upgrade the navy with faster, more powerful ships.

Construction

The rapidness of the construction of a Zuniga-class cruiser is made possible by pre-fabrication. The hulls are made at an off-site factory, the bridge and superstructures are constructed similarly. This pre-fabrication technology allows a ship to be built within a few months, and is sped up considerably by prisoner labor.

Deployment

The Zuniga-class has not yet been deployed, but remains ready to do so.
