A British Colonial Force landed on the island in June of 1613. Determined to claim Askira’s populace and resources as their own they set about their task of conquering the island. Theed, Askira’s capital city, was captured by a swift incursion by enemy forces. Reports detail that the British met little resistance in taking the city. This is understandable as there was no need for a standing Askiran Military. The Askira had not gone to battle in over 2000 years. Apart from the Emperor’s Custodian Guard and the Kai’s Protectorate Guard there was no Askiran military presence to fight.
