Personal life
Born 1967-09-09 in Nolanburg in the Thuvian mountains, Meier spent many winters skiing and bobsleighing. She became interested in the luge when she was in high school. Meier is a nurse and currently lives in Saint Katrina, however, after winning the gold in the women's luge event she has become a national celeberty, and now only works part-time. The rest of her time is spent traveling the nation promoting various charities.
