*'''NOTE''': Although the Sovereign Alliance is the home to The Vertosan Empire, it does not constitute the empire itself but merely acts as a base of operations. Non-member nations can reside in this region but they must adhere to the policy of the region or face ejection. At the current time, government of the region is independent of government for The Vertosan Empire.

The region has 1 nation in it that is not an empire member.

BY ORDER OF THE STATE OF VERTOSA, THE SOVEREIGN ALLIANCE REGION WILL BE CLOSED FROM 16TH JANUARY 2005. THE VERTOSAN EMPIRE WILL RELOCATE TO A NEW REGION

Founded by: The Vertosan Islands

Policy Enforcer: The Emirate of Dyspraxia

Note that in the absence of The Vertosan Islands, Dyspraxia has been granted the position of Enforcer by the State of Vertosa on a permanent basis

The Sovereign Alliance is the home of the Sovereign Alliance of the Vertosan Empire, often refered to as just The Vertosan Empire.

This region is officially goverened by the State of Vertosa, although that state does not reside in the region. When Vertosa does decide on policy, it is enacted by the Policy Enforcer for the region (as this region does not have a UN delegate, nor will it for the time being). The Policy Enforcer is second in command to the State of Vertosa and can use this authority to govern the region independently to a point. If, however, Vertosa makes a policy decision then it must be acted upon by the enforcer.
