Etiquette is the code which governs expectations of social behavior, the conventional norm. Etiquette refers to an unwritten code, although the idea of etiquette is related to that of protocol. A protocol is a written code of behavior. There is no single code of etiquette but instead different codes govern behavior in different nations, different social classes, different religions, different cultures, or different special settings.
