Base

Socialist International is currently based in Neudek in a new building, Sozialistisches Gebäude (translated to be Socialist Building). The building was funded by the Neudegg Treu und Wahr Social Democratic Party which has its building on the same street in central Neudek.

The building plays host to events and meetings between member parties. The Government of Neudegg grant all representatives from Socialist International member parties visas to access the country.

The building employs 400 staff to work for the organization, there are also around 200 volunteers from member parties that also help to run the building and the organization. They work with the President to run Socialist International.

The building itself, as well as having office space, has several debating chambers and what is known as the Socialist Museum.

Leadership

Council of Members

The Council of Members is the council that leads and makes the decisions for Socialist International. The council is made up by 1 member for each member party, either the party leader or a delegate chosen by the party leader.

The Council of Members rarely all meets together in person due to the distance needed to travel to get to a meeting point, instead they tend to communicate through normal international channels and make decisions by proxy.

President

President of Socialist International, James Tinen

The President of Socialist International does not make any policy or ideological decisions but rather heads up the management operation of the organization.

The current President is James Tinen from the Neudegg Treu und Wahr Social Democratic Party.

Tinen was brought up a semi-rural area of Neudegg in the Wareton region of the country. His father was a farmer and mother was a teacher in the local primary school. Tinen attended Gout State University studying Political Theory where he became politically involved with the socialist movement in his home country.

He is also the Deputy President of Neudegg but due to the constitutional structure in Neudegg Tinen can spend a lot of his time working in Sozialistisches Gebäude.
