PBC Four (formerly called PBC4 both in print and on-air) is the fourth channel of the Pacitalian Broadcasting Corporation's television services. Launched 1st August, 1986, it was the next step in the PBC's foray into multi-channel television provision, following PBC Two and PBC Three, which had launched in 1982. It currently broadcasts in digital high-definition with a small amount of programs available through ActiveCast interactive services.
PBC Four delivers new media, creative and independently-produced programming including new drama and comedy series and independently-produced films. It is also a launching ground for the careers of rising Pacitalian acting talent. The PBC Corporate website describes PBC Four thusly: "The PBC's fourth channel is an outlet for new media, for cultural enlightenment, for up and coming Pacitalian talent and for independent homegrown series. It's the place where boundaries are tested, where new ideas come to the surface, where humanity's creative side is truly nurtured and explored. PBC Four is the flexible channel - it can truly be anything you want it to be."
