The YoungWorld
The YoungWorld was founded by Corinthes Phoenix in March 2004 and since then has grown from strength to strength. With over 600 nations, the YoungWorld is one of NationStates biggest regions.
Unique Region
It's popularity stems, not only from the great people involved, but also from it's uniqueness. Of all the regions in NationStates, only The YoungWorld has a monetary system. Money can be earned several ways:
by posting in the forum
open a bank account and earn interest
having a job (e.g. soldier, delegate, judge)
and many other ways.
Of course once you've earned your money you'll want to spend it. You can blow your money on a great deal of things:
invest in the stock exchange
buy lottery tickets
visit the arcade (to play the likes of Tetris & Space Invaders)
buy a pet (and take care of it)
or play a game of Sudoku
The YoungWorld also has a long tradition of Role-playing and has some great RPer's to prove it.
Random Humour
But it's not just about money. The YoungWorld is also a fun place to be. There's always something random going on, especially in the Spiral Staircase (Spam zone).
Democracy
The YoungWorld is also a democractic region and a new Delegate is chosen every six weeks or so. For a long period Styrland was the Delegate winning three elections in a row before retiring from politics.

The YoungWorld Army is without doubt the best there has ever been in NationStates history. Even with several ambitious rivals, the Army is likely to be in control of most of the Warzones, if not all of them, at any given time.
In the typically good natured fashion, that pervades the YoungWorld, the Army never attacks other regions and has a long history of defending others, who may be at the mercy of griefers and invaders.
