Kaiser J.L. I, Sovereign Lord of the Holy Empire of Roach-Busters and her Dominions,(born 19th September 1959 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota), has been head of state and head of government since 1st May 2004, the day he successfully staged a military coup which toppled the totalitarian communist government. He ruled first as President, adopting a centrist, democratic, conciliatory position on the issues, before granting himself emergency powers. He later became known as Generalissimo and presided over an extremely authoritarian but economically prosperous military regime that was controversial abroad but (for the most part) immensely popular at home. On New Year's Day 2006, at the stroke of midnight, he was crowned Kaiser and Roach-Busters became a de jure constitutional monarchy, but a de facto absolute one. Little changed, although J.L.'s wealth, prestige, and popularity skyrocketed.
