The city of Crownshaven (in Jadan, Krovnsavn) is the capital city of the Greater Jadan Empire, her largest city and most important economic hub. In typically Scandinavian fashion, and despite her geographical size, Greater Jade is highly centralised; nearly twenty-seven million people live in the capital city.

The oldest, and most famous, part of the city, Saint John's (Helge-Jøns), was founded as a township in its own right, between 700 and 750 AD; its situation in (what is now known as) Crownshaven Harbour on the Baltic Sea, advantageous for both military and commercial purposes, led to extremely rapid growth. Saint John's and the surrounding towns were incorporated into the city of Krovnes Havn ('Royal Harbour') by one of the first Jadan Kings, King Knude I, around 870 AD. The construction of a large new docklands and market area in 1654, and the parliament building in 1722, moved the economic heart of the city (højebýjë) somewhat to the west of Saint John's.

Famous historical sights in Crownshaven include the Emperor's Palace (Kyngeshavsë), the Imperial Parliament (Impérifolgesdengë) and the 1100-year-old Saint John's Church (Helge Jøns Kergë).

The city has a number of airports, including: Crownshaven Saint John's Airport (Krovnsavn Helge Jøns Lofdavn - named after the saint, rather than after the district of the city); Crownshaven Southern Aiport (Krovnsavn Syllije Lofdavn); and the new Crownshaven City Centre Airport (Krovnsavn Højebýjelofdavn).
