The Canadian Minister of Justice holds one of six positions of the Canadian Cabinet according to the constitutional definition.[1] The current Canadian Minister of Justice is Parrrrtay.

Role in Canada

The Minister of Justice holds a pivotal role in Cabinet affairs relating to issues of legal nature. Whenever Canadian law is concerned the MoJ is always accountable.

The MoJ is elected along with the remaining Cabinet Ministers through open elections that occur once every three months. The MoJ must appoint a Deputy Minister of Justice.

Duties and Authority

The MoJ is responsible for drafting laws, regional administration protocols, administrating the regional dispute resolution tribunal and drafting UN resolutions at the request of Cabinet or on his/her own initiative.

The MoJ is also expected to expertly interpret the constitution and regional law whenever it is deemed necessary and is also responsible for appointing the regional historian.
