Hudson Bay was Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs in February, 2004. Still revered to this day, his philosophy of neutrality and of avoiding firm and entangling international alliances and treaties still guides Canada. This doctine is known locally as the Hudson Bay Doctrine.
Half-way through his term as Foreign Affairs Minister, Hudson Bay left Canada as suddenly as he arrived, leaving the region for over 8 months. Canada was fortunate to see him return in October, 2004.
