Mishba District currently plays host to the Mishba District Patriots, a member of the Malabrian Soccer Association (MSA).  This team is well known locally and is a big part of the culture of the city.  Many businesses shut down on game night and thousands of people go to games.  The Mishba District Patriots were named after the idea of being patriotic to ones country (being this is the national capital of Malabra).  They currently host their 22 home games in a 88,000 capacity soccer-specific stadium called Miaskawanca Stadium.  Miaskawanca is a national bank chain that paid for the naming rights to the stadium.  This stadium also plays host to international soccer events.

==Local Transportation==

Mishba District has many ways to travel through out the city.  One of these ways include a high-speed monorail system called The Mishba District Monorail System.  This system is the most widely used mass transportation and is controled by the Mishba District Transit Authority (MDTA), a city agency.  This system goes by many of the cities busiest streets, roads, and avenues. Malabrians love this source of transport because of its easy access and high speed.

Another source of transportation is the train, which connects Mishba District with other major cities and some minor cities through out Malabra.  This transportation is ran by a national government agencey known as the Malabrian Transit Authority (MTA).  This train has many stops in Mishba District.

The Mishba District Bus Line is also very popular.  It is ran by the MDTA and has many stops located through out the city.  This is more convinient than the monorail system because of less walking after you get off the busses.  The only drawback is that it is normally slower.

The Mishba District Subway System is also ran by the MDTA.  These local stations are stationed through out Mishba District and usually are near bus stops.  This is the second most popular form of mass transportation.

There is also a highway in Mishba District.  This highway juts through the middle of the city.  It's name is MA-1.  This is because it was the first highway built in Malabra and it also is through the most important city.

Mishba District
Nation: Malabra
Function: National Capital
Population: 2 million
Leader: Mayor Miskisa J. Mia

Mishba District, home to two million people, is a large metropolis located in the eastern area of Malabra that is its own subdivision and its own city. It is located on the Quicak peninsula and near an as-of-yet unnamed ocean. It is famous for its prestine beaches, coastal wildlife, culture, and national landmarks. It is the Capitol of the Constitutional Monarchy of Malabra and is home to the Supreme Court, National Archives, Royal Family's Palace, and Parliament. The economy is mostly dominated by tourism, but it has a large fishing industry. The city has historical roots, as it was constructed as the Capitol once Malabra recieved its independence. Since it was a planned city, it benefits from the way it is layed out. The city is only almost two years old.

History

The history of the city of Mishba District began when the Constitutional Monarchy was formed. Since a new country was now formed, Malabrians needed a place to hold all of the national entities that come with a democratic country. The location for the new Capital was the first step. Researchers and architects chose the current site, located on a southeast coast of Malabra, for the location. They believed that the close proximity to the water allowed for it to have extra economical oppertunities. Since it's formation, two million people now live in the city proper, making this one of the top twelve most populous cities of Malabra. The reason for such growth is that at the time many were looking for a better life and thus a new city to live in. This city was also the only major city known to Malabrians at the time so people wanting to live with a larger population decided to do so by living here.

Government

Since this is a national capital, local government is limited to a mayor and 6 council men and women, which are voted democratically by the local populace. Council men and women are based on districts. The local government may only make decisions regarding the city itself and may not make any laws or decisions concerning national landmarks or goverment agencies located in the Capital.

The Royal Leaders of Malabra are located in this city for national purposes. This includes the parliament, legistlature, and royal residence. Many other important buildings that are located here are national landmarks, the national archives, and national parks.
