The Yen (¥) is the official currency of the Yen Block nations and many other nations inspired by Japan.

The Giga Yen is the official currency of the META Syndicate and several other Yen Block nations, though most keep the Yen.

The Yen has become mostly a digital currency in Eastasia, which allows companies to calculate with monetary values as small as a PictoYen (p¥, 10^-12 Yen), or even the YoctoYen (y¥, 10^-24 Yen) to do accurate financial calculations and calculate interest rates, monetary units that would otherwise be far less in value than any amount of metal of paper feasible to represent them as a physical, non-digital, currency.
