- Short I is pronounced [I]
- Long O is pronounced [o:]
- Short U is pronounced [U]

- IA and UA become ÜÜ [y:]

- AI is pronounced [6I]
- Consonants
- K, P and T are aspirated
- H becomes G [g]
- L becomes W [w]
