The Jhiland National Palace
</div>

The Jhiland National Palace is the center of Jhiland's national government. It stands in downtown Confluence, across River Street from the Cathedral of the Garuda. The Palace is the oldest building in Jhiland, and the largest inhabitable masonry structure in the The Grand Coalition region.

The palace was built by volunteer labor under the direction of Tonom Hakine. Hakine never imagined that the palace would be a home for a national government. He built it as a national landmark to stand testament to the splendor of the nation. Construction was completed in 990 BC.

In 917 BC, after Confluence was established as the national capital, the Palace was established as the home of the Elder Council. Then in 50 BC, the Palace became home to the newly-established Holy Emperor, which replaced the Tribal Lord. Ever since then, the Palace has been home to the Emperor.
