The Jhiland National Palace is the center of Jhiland's national government. It stands in downtown Confluence, across River Street from the Cathedral of the Garuda. The Palace is the oldest building in Jhiland, and the largest inhabitable masonry structure in the Imaim region.

The palace was built by volunteer labor under the direction of Tonom Hakine. Hakine never imagined that the palace would be a home for a national government. He built it as a national landmark to stand testament to the splendor of the nation. Construction was completed in 990 BC.

In 917 BC, after Confluence was established as the national capital, the Palace was established as the home of the Elder Council. Then in 50 BC, the Palace became home to the newly-established Holy Emperor, which replaced the Tribal Lord. Ever since then, the Palace has been home to the Emperor.

The Palace sits only a few hundred feet from the actual confluence of the two rivers. It stands over 540 feet tall at its highest point, and is considered an engineering marvel due to the era in which it was constructed. Despite its age, the Palace still fits in perfectly with the surrounding buildings, due to the construction guidelines in the older areas of the city.
