7 series divisions
7 series divisions are mountain infantry divisions raised by Sober Thought's Community Defence Forces whose divisional number ends in seven. Regular Land Service units belong to a brigade group before they are dispersed throughout divisional brigades dominated by Civil Guard militia units.
Listed below are the unit names for the first wave and the formula for determining the names in subsequent waves. In the formulæ, w = wave of one hundred million national population and n = sequence in the Land Service.

1 / w Mountain Brigade Group
In peacetime, the division's all-Land Service nucleus or cadre exists as a powerful artillery-heavy brigade group which looks and acts more like a pocket division.

In wartime, the brigade group is broken up and its constituent units form at least part of every brigade and demi-brigade in the 7 series division. The brigade group commanding officer, a Chief Commander, either becomes the divisional CO (and acting Vice Marshal) or XO, depending on whether an appropriate Thuvian officer has been found for the top slot or not. By custom, but not law or regulation, a Thuvian will service as executive officer for the first and subsequent odd-wave 7 series division and as commanding officer for the fourth and ever other subsequent even-wave division.
