Welcome

There is no use for a welcome message here. I already know what I need to know.

Read the Page

Would it have killed you to read the part where I say I'm going to make an update soon? And no, I don't need links, I'm not an inept computer user like the majority of NS. In fact, I would thank you to back off for now. I do not need your input since you have failed to read the part where I acknowledge that I need to add more data.

I also know what the 'save' function does, so I don't need you to educate me. I also am aware of the links. Now, find someone else to harass before I get irritated. ~ Kryo

  • As an experienced user, I would expect you to recognize a boilerplate welcome message sent to all new users in the spirit of friendlyness. It's Template:welcome, should you ever wish to use it. → Fris Θtalk 18:16, 16 Dec 2004 (GMT)
    • Even so, why didn't I get this message a lot sooner? I posted my stuff a lot earlier, but I didn't get a message about it. Traditionally, such messages are sent upon the creation of a user account. But, I didn't get one and I accessed my account a few times since I created it. Kryo
There are almost 700 registered users, and a bunch of them have never edited a page. I don't understand why they bothered registering, but there ya go. I'm not going to send them a welcome message until I see them active in the wiki.
When one of the sysops sees you on the Recent Changes page as a named user with a red link Talk page, that's when it gets sent. Obviously, we missed the earlier edits (or didn't have the boilerplate template at the time). Up until 2 days ago, only Goobergunch and I were sending them, and we've both missed days. It happens. Thanks for giving me a chance to explain. → Fris Θtalk 18:58, 16 Dec 2004 (GMT)
      • You probably lacked the user template at the time. Also, if you do look at my profile, I have a whole whack of red links (I hope I don't get a bunch of these messages again - and I'm lazy, so I don't want to create the factbook yet)... *shrug* But, I have added at least a history to Meekinos (and I'm pro-save button after losing data when not saving my work from earlier times).
