The Charter of Inheritance, 1013 was a document prepared by a council of nobles establishing their authority to decide the successor to Queen-Regent Maldren (d. 1013), the queen-consort of the first King of Isselmere and Anguist and regent or high queen of the two kingdoms from 1008. The document itself was drafted by the Abbot of St Semprini in accordance with the wishes of the Earls' Council and validated by the Bishop of Isling — two of the few literate members of court — on 12 July, 1013.
