Isles of a Better World is a politically active region, specifically dealing with democracy. The membership is rather low, but the commitment to democracy is high.

History
The "founding fathers" of the Isles, as the region is often called, are Ceorana, Murkadia, and Northern Sushi. The three were first united in the now-defunct region of Territories of the Borderlands. Northern Sushi then lost favor due to censorship on the Borderlands forums, and Murkadia and Ceorana moved to Unification, where Harrissy, who had caused Northern Sushi to fall out of power, had founded a democratic region. But then Harrissy lost interest in democracy and moved to Disunification. This left Murkadia and Ceorana in a bit of a predicament that was resolved by founding and moving to the Isles. They also decided to forgive Northern Sushi and let him return as a member of the High Council.
As of March 17th, the region is in transformation to restart RP and government after either Ceorana or Murkadia shut down the Isles forum. Proposals by the new delegate Mariadon, who arrived form Lazarus, suggest that the region will share a forum with another region for government, and possibly RP.
