Isles of a Better World (or IoaBW) is a politically active region, specifically dealing with democracy. The membership is rather low, but the commitment to democracy is high.

History
The "founding fathers" of the Isles, as the region is often called, are Ceorana, Murkadia, and Northern Sushi. The three were first united in the now-defunct region of Territories of the Borderlands. Northern Sushi then lost favor due to censorship on the Borderlands forums, and Murkadia and Ceorana moved to Unification, where Harrissy, who had caused Northern Sushi to fall out of power, had founded a democratic region. But then Harrissy lost interest in democracy and moved to Disunification. This left Murkadia and Ceorana in a bit of a predicament that was resolved by founding and moving to the Isles. They also decided to forgive Northern Sushi and let him return as a member of the High Council.
After some disputes in RP, some members found that they could not get along at all, so left and went their separate ways. Northern Sushi then went on to help create the region of Liberalia with some of the skills he learned here at IoaBW Ceorana shut down the forum when everyone had left the region.
As of March 17th, the region is in transformation to restart RP and government. Proposals by the new delegate Mariadon, who arrived form Lazarus, suggest that the region will share a forum with another region for government, and possibly RP.
The region is basically dead and most nations wish to keep it that way.

Constitution
The Constitution of the Isles was still undergoing the ratification process when Ceorana destroyed the forums. It is rumored that a copy of this document is kept somewhere deep within in the forums of Liberalia, along with a copy of IoaBW's RP Development Program thread.

The map was adopted from the previous Unification map by Murkadia. It was last updated November 15, 2005. It is the last remembered map from the original region.
