History of FAN

The following is as complete of a history of the Federation of Allied Nations as is possible.

2006

March

2: Caldarian President Yakiva Tovia-Toba dies while in office from attack-related injuries at the age of 51.

13: The Atholonian-backed ETF (Elite Task Force), an alternative to the Trodonian-headed IA, is founded.

15: Typophilean Prime Minister Edwin McDowell releases correspondence between Velenorian president James K. Riviera Jr. and the leader of New Met. The telegrams reveal that Riviera had plans to change the delegate, while at the same time telling McDowell that no such plans were in place. Riviera, however, uses the crisis as an opportunity to stage a coup d'état in Velenora. James K. Riviera Jr. announces the arrest of all republikan-related officials and declares himself supreme dictator. The name of Velenora is changed officially to The Egotistical Dictatorship of Velenora.

18: The IA and the ETF, amidst increasing rivalry and conflict, announce that in the best interests of the nation the two organisations will merge. The IA will take control of all large-scale military operations, while the ETF manages the day-to-day security and military.

22: Naoko Onamori is elected the new president of the Caldari State.

26: Newly-elected president Onamori of the Caldari State gives the State of the Plutocracy Address.

31: Velenorian president James K. Riviera Jr. resigns as head of the region, citing a lack of interest. Fallout from the 'delegate sham' scandal was also seen as a factor. Riviera announced that he would stay around in an advisory position.

April

5: FAN celebrates its first birthday.

June

2: Atholon (Later) invades Gevon, Trodenhiem intervenes and demands that Atholon (Later) pull out. 3: Atholon (Later) fails to comply and Trodenhiem invades. 4: Atholon (later) puulls out of Gevon and Trodenhiem occupies it. 10: Atholon (later) is defeated. 11: Atholon (Later) becomes a territory of Trodenhiem. 12: the Gevon talks begin.
