General

Dincotians are a non-anthropomorphic dinosaurian species made up of theropod/dromeosaurid-like creatures. They are a significant portion of the population of Miokalia and their home planet, Dincota. Their species is diverse in shape to the extent that they range from more Allosaurian features to more Raptorian features. Although the size differences between the extremes are reletively small.

 Avg height: 5' 8"
 Avg weight: 170 Lbs

Their physical features are as such:

Eyes: range from Bluish-green to yellow to orange.
Scales: range from dark brown to beige to olive.
Feathering: (only on some individuals). Usually black or white in color and on head and back.
Digits/Fingers: 2-3 very dextrous digits, 1 opposable digit
Locomotion habit: capable of both digitigrade and plantigrade walking habits
 Eating habit: Omnivorous

Anatomical/Psysiological

The diets of dincotians tend to be high in protein and very low in fiber. Which means there is less emphasis on agricultural grains in their history and more emphasis on fishing and herding in their early societies. Dincotians are evolved from carnivorous reptiles, which may explain their high protein-requirement.

The Dincotian brain is smaller than that or similarly-sized mammals. However the dincotian brain has fewer unused regions and has higher dendrite density than mammalian brains of the same size. The reptilian regeneration factor also causes the Dincotian brain not to suffer as much from aging or damage so most Dincotians remain lucid for the entirity of their lives and occourances of permanent mental retardation are reletively rare by comparison to mammals. The Dincotian brain tends to have an average left-brain compared to the human one. However the Dincotian right brain is substantially more evolved than that of most sentient mammals. It is so evolved, that it is also capable of quickly and readily cross-applying both left-brain and right-brain-associative concepts instantly without much thought. This explains why often Dincotian artists tend to be adequate engineers as well.
