Ambaran Railways is the brand name of the intercity passenger train system created on 19 January 1996 in Danaan Ambara. Ambaran Railways is occasionally referred to as AR, but is usually referred to by the full name.

Ambaran Railways is an independent, for-profit corporations. While it has a few large private investors, most stock in Ambaran Railways is held by corporate pension plans and large banks. Ambaran Railways stock is commonly traded on the Tarana Stock Market and the company is known as a safe investment, sure to result in slow but steady gains on the market.

Ambaran Railways employs over 64,000 people. The network of 64,6000 kilometers of route connects 647 communities in Danaan Ambara, with a few routes also serving communities in northern Marlund. In 2006, Ambaran Railways served 64,800,000 passengers.
