The Ambaran Truth and Reconciliation Committee is a court-like body assembled in Ambara after the Second Ambaran War by the Commonwealth of Peoples, Pantocratoria and Pantocratorian Ambara. Any Ambaran who feels that they have been the victim of racial, political, religious or sexual violence before, during or after the war itself can come forward and testify. Perpetrators of violence can also testify and request amnesty from prosecution. The hearings become part of the public record and often receive substantial media attention. The ATRC is viewed as an important part of healing the wounds of Ambara's bloody and divided history. It is generally, though not universally, regarded as both necessary and successful.
