Kauzen is a small town in the Nordic Mountains of Kirav.

Economy

Kauzen is a winter resort town, catering to skiers and vacationers from other parts of the empire. A myriad of muntain lakes, ideal ski slopes, and the perfect climatic balance for a midwinter retreat, attract enough visitors to outnumber the permenant residents. Aside from the main resort services, retail includes skis and snowboards, hot beverages, winter clothing, snowmobiles, kayaks, and lodging. During the off-season, buisness is limited to competitions and foriegners. Most of the local buisnesses close during this time, usually having enough saars to sustain themselves until winter.

Events

  • In 2003, Kauzen was the host of the Pan-Confederate Games.
  • Every year, the Kirav Ski Leagues hold their final championship in Kauzen.
  • As a stroke of bad luck, Kauzen was the host of the Pan-Confederate Games in 2003, the only year in which Kirav did not gain the Platinum Medal in Nordic Skiing. The title went to Iscova.
  • Kauzen is also home to the Kirav SnowWar, a massive organized snowball fight.
