The Ubundi News Corporation (UNC) is the largest media and news network in Ubundi. UNC is government-operated and is based in Ubundiville, Ubundi's capital city.
UNC broadcasts on its television and radio station 24 hours each day.

History
UNC was founded on December 31, 1999 with its main goal being to bring the latest and most interesting of world and Ubundi events from a Ubundian perspective.
Expansion
When UNC first launched, its only stations were UNC Ubundi TV and UNC Ubundi Radio. On May 19, 2000, because of its growing international popularity, UNC launced three more stations: UNC World TV and Radio and UNC Youth. Later that year, on November 29, UNC aquired Sports Ubundi TV/Radio to add a sporting station to the network. On November 1, 2005, UNC HD launched. In late early February 2006, a station airing Ubundian films launced under the UNC Film brand.
World Wide Web Embracement
In order to keep up with the popularity of internet-news websites, UNC launched UNC Web on April 5, 2001. In the first month online, UNC Web recieved nearly 59 million unique visits. On September 20, 2005, UNC W3 was launced as the first 24-hour online news station. Editor Weblogs had been launched the previous week.
Rumors of Aquisitions
On March 3, 2003, the popular newspaper Ubundi Now published an article hinting of that the Ubundi media giant, Ubundi Media Corporation, was holding talks with UNC for a possible aquisition for a reported $40 billion UBD (aprox. $22.8B USD). Ubundi Media immediatly put out a press release proving the rumors false. The Ubundi government bought UNC and all of its holding for an estimated $61.8B UBD ($35.23B USD) on December 29, 2006.
