Mysh Island is one of the two Autonomous Communities of Yuunli. It makes up 87% of Yuunli's population, and 83% of its area.

The flag of Mysh Island represents the three main landscapes of the island: the mountains (red), the woodlands (green), the coast (blue) and the rivers and lakes (blue).

Geography

Mysh Island is located in the north of the IDU landmass. To the east, there are uninhabited islands. To the south-west, there is the Democratic Federation of Grosseschnauzer, to the south-east the Empire of Keeslandia, and to the west the Holy Republic of Lloegr-Cymru.

The total area of Mysh Island is 3,914,053 km² (1,511,871 square miles). That's 83% of Yuunli.

The following map (which shows both Mysh Island and Sklyrachy), rivers are blue and provincial borders are red, unless they are marked by rivers.

Religions

Religious affiliation is not asked in a census, that's why only estimates exist.

It is estimated that 50% of the Mysh Island population are strigidists (25% of them traditionalists, 75% modernists), 42% atheists and 8% follow other religions.

The mountainous regions are strongholds of traditional strigidism, whereas the modern variant is stronger in the coastal and hilly provinces.
Atheists are more common in more urbanized provinces.
Other religions are more common in coastal provinces.

Fore more information about strigidist beliefs, see Strigidism.

License plates

License plates on Mysh Island are white with dark blue characters. They feature an island-wide serial number. The province is indicated the serial number and by a small sticker in the middle:

  • Balembai (Palempl): blue whale
  • Candet (Kant): white and blue stripes
  • Centhay (Zentai): blue dot
  • Hongora (Honkoa): red spikes
  • Idubut (Itupt): yellow star
  • Lonreca (Loreka): blue and white square
  • Milduna (Muituan): blue and yellow square
  • Oylbesh (Oipach): black owl
  • Porpic (Poapik): black half-star-like stripes
  • Putali (Putal): dark green butterfly
  • Riftaly (Riftal): red triangle (similar to the left half of the letter 'A')
  • Ursia (Uaza): black bear

The year of the next compulsory security check is indicated by a colored sticker on top of the plate.

National security (police, ambulances, fire fighters) have plates with red characters, and the word "Zihahoit" instead of a province.

Diplomats have plates with black characters, CD for "corps diplomatique" or CC for "corps consulaire", and a code representing the country of origin (two letters for IDU countries).

Elections

Results of the 2005-05-22 legislative and executive elections (compared to those of 2005-04-30):

Executive

The old and new Chairman of the Executive Council of Mysh Island is Arden Tajuni (SLL).

Legislature

The number of seats in parliament corresponds to the rounded percentage of votes a party received. Only parties with at least 1% of the votes enter parliament.
If the sum does not add up to 100, the biggest faction gets the remaining seats.
If the sum is more than 100, the smallest factions lose seats.
