Introduction

100 Mahlberg court is in the City of Torembourg, Toremal. It is located on Mahlverg Court, which is now, due to events that are shown below, one of the most exclusive areas in the city.

Early History

Until but 34 years ago, 100 Mahlberg Court was the city home of the Lords and Ladies of Mahlberg, which has since been renamed Royal Mahlberg. Within were some of the region's most famous parties and social affairs. Lady Annastasia of Curtn was said to have fainted when she, only just a noble, recieved an invite to 100 Mahlberg Court. Some of the most famous additions to the house were made in this period; the Grand Ballroom, the Frontal gallery, and the thrid storey. They were designed by the San Jacoban architect Herr Schewpke (HER-sh-COOP-eh) and cost around one hundred thousad wenaha - at that time resources were cheap, as they hadn't been mined up. Today all stone, marble etc is imported from San MAritia, whom Toremal has close links with. However, by the start of the 20th Century (1900), the house was falling into disrepair. The House of Mahlberg did not have enough money to pay for its maintenance - they had already sold Mahlberg Castle to the [[House of Toremal]] five years ago. Many paintings and antiques, in desperate need of restoration, had to simply remain the way they were.

Mid 20th Century

With the dawn of the century came a new hope for the family - the Lady Romaine Diana was born, the first child to be born to the family with pure, Mahlberg blood. She grew up to become a beautiful young lady, and, despite her family's fortunes, was considered to be one of the best catches in the Duchy. It was because of this that world was said to have been shocked when her engagment to the womanising, but rich, Grand Duke Alexander. The family's fortunes were restored, and 100 Mahlberg Court was given an opulent renovation. Numbers 50-99 and 101-150 Mahlberg Court were demolished to make way for formal gardens. The building itself was renovated in the newer, more fashionable style, and was declared 'fit for an Emperor'. However, after the Split Incident, it once more became the home of only Lady Romaine Diana, and her children. It has now, over the last few days, gained notoriety, and a reputation for bad luck, due to the murder of Grand Duchess Maria. 'The Mahlbergs will start there, and they will end there...'
