Overview

Aanjar: The City

One of the most westernmost cities of Nedalia, located on the island of Jazeerat-il-Din, Aanjar is a very arabic inspired city. The population is rapidly approaching 1,000,000 as the city has the largest growth rate of any city in Nedalia. In fact, it is Nedalia's 2nd largest city after Kafra. Its population is nearly all of arabic descent, so Islam is the prominent religion in the city and the island. Weather is desert-like, as are the physical features of the island. The architecture of the city, again, is heavily inspired by the Middle East, with mosques and domed houses all too common. However, there is a western touch to the city, as Aanjar's downtown prominently points out.

Malaab il Aanjariyya Stadium

The name directly translates into the "Aanjarian Field". It holds approximately 50,000 people and it is a state of the art facility. Completed in 2 AFN, it was built to accomodate the fanatical support the Aanjarian people have for their new football team, the Aanjar Camels. The field itself is made from real grass.

Owners and Sponsors

Sponsors: The team is sponsored by Fahhed Oil Company, which has yet to find any oil in Nedalia. The contract runs indefinitely, since both the team and the company are owned by the same person.

Owners: Aanjar FC is owned by Jamal Fahhed, who also owns Fahhed Oil Company. He reportedly paid the Nedalian FA $250 million for the rights to own the team.

Kit and Nickname

Nicknamed the Camels, Aanjar FC's home kit features a mostly white shirt with green stripes. The opposite applies for its away kit.
