Amshlay is the capital of the republic of Saidercray.

Geografy

Amshlay is situated in the west of Saidercray in an extensive valley at the edge of the mountains. The city has been built up around Lake Amshlay, where the old town lifts upon steeply ascending Amshlay Island.

Sights

  • Castle Dragon's Sun: The 900 year-old castle crowns the top of Amshlay Island. As the medieval Amshlay was protected by the lake and a high town-wall at its shores, the castle itself only has comparitively weak defensive abilities and was more and more converted into a representative mixture of castle and palace. Today, it is home of Saidercray's largest museum of medieval and baroque arts.
  • Saidercrayan University of Camplinton: The university close to Amshlay's suburb Camplinton is reputed to be one of Saidercray's two best universities (the other one, the Graham Gorster University, stands in Telychester).
