The assassination attempt on Sergei Ilyanov took place in October of 2004, during a political trip to The Fascist Confederacy, the former President of The Island of Rose, Sergei Ilyanov, was shot by a lone gunman during a parade. The reason fro Mr. Ilyanov's visit was to strengthen ties and form an alliance between the two nations. But, a militant anti-Left-Wing gunman by the name of Isac von Riventropp tried to stamp this out.

During the parade, at the exact point that the former Marxist leader of Der Auftrag was assassinated, a single .50 caliber round flew through Sergei. Luckily, due to the unrest in the crowds, a bottle was thrown at Diane Ilyanov (Sergei's wife) causing her to stumble and knock Sergei back. Without this, the bullet would have pierced the President's skull, killign him instantly. Instead, it went through his left upper limb.

Over the next three weeks, tensions were heightened and both nations were on the brink of nuclear war. Luckily, Isac was stopped by the Fascian Border Patrol and was placed under arrest in a Pacification Facilty, thus, ceasing the tenstion between the two world powers.

The exact location to this day of Isac von Riventropp is unknown. All prison records of anykind are unable to be located. A conspiracy theory has risen from many anti-Fascist or merely concerned nations stating that Isac was a member of The Phineas Priesthood, and was funded by the state to murder Sergei Ilyanov. But, this can neither be proven or denied to the fullest extent to be true or false.
