Association of Danaan Educators

The Association of Danaan Educators is a trade union in the Resurgent Dream representing faculty and staff in public and private schools and well as in colleges, universities, and daycares.

The Association is a member organization in good standing of the Danaan Congress of Trade and Industrial Unions. It was chartered by that body in 1992 for the purpose of organizing educators. The Association endorses the Progressive Democratic Party.

In addition to collective bargaining, the Association provides legal defense for teachers accused of misconduct involving students regardless of their guilt or innocence. This policy has sometimes led to conflicts with parent and student groups but the Association maintains that it does not defend misconduct but merely guarantees to its members the best defense that can be made in a court of law. The Association also points out that over 75% of charges of misconduct levelled against teachers are frivolous.
