Augmented Military Technocracy

Overview

The Augmented are a group of Wyrmish mercenaries, originally a Khrrck-based ground force but now a roving space force who use mechanical and cybernetic augmentations.

Generally, the Augmented are appreciated for their impressive tactical ability, massive firepower, and willingness to do anything for money. Unfortunately, they also posess a deep hatred of boredom, a lack of loyalty to most of their clients, and a certain compassion towards the underdog.

Structure

The structure of the Augmented tends towards anarchy, but the fleet gnerally follows the orders of Leader, who has gained the position (and title) simply by being the best strategan and tactician among the Augmented ranks.

If an Aug soldier aspires to a position of power, he or she is generally given command of a ship or a fighter squadron, depending on his or her tactical abilities. Most of the Augs, however, are content to simply shoot things and follow other people's orders- which generally leave quite a lot of leeway.

Technologies

Niling d-sink

The niling d-sink is probably one of the most important technologies in use by the Augmented today. Consisting of a captive spatial flaw within a specially designed containment vessel, the d-sink is, simply, a battery. A staggeringly good battery.

As of now, the standard-issue battle equipment for an Augmented soldier is as follows. However, Augs pride themselves on their equipment, and rarely does one see an unmodified rig in combat.
