Berettasia

Background

Berettasia is a large dominant nation within the Empire of Great Britain. It has fought many wars to keep its independence and many more wars just for the hell of it. Berettasia has been controlled mainly through the military, the most notable rulers being from the family of Beretta. So far most rulers that have come through the glorious nation have been from the family of Beretta. The family name is held almost sacred and members looked upon with great respect.

3596BC - 3887BC: War of Domination. International. Berettasia gains its independence. Lead by various leaders. Won by Berettasia.

3698BC - 2567BC: Wars of Expansion. International. Various little wars fought to gain territory from other tribes. Various Leaders. Won by Berettasia.

2560BC - 1AD: Wars of Development. International. Wars fought to create a fledgling society. First proper towns established. Society created. Proper families developed. Most notable in war and politics being that of Beretta. Various leaders. Won by Berettasia.

7AD - 39AD: War of Empowerment. Civil. Wars between the families of Berettasia. The family of Beretta comes out on top. Led by Beret the Elder.

47AD - 59AD: War of Advancement. Civil. The family of Beretta eliminate threatening families. Famly position firmly established. Led by Beret the Elder.

72AD - 74AD: War of Leadership. Civil. The leadership system is firmly established as a military state. Led by Beret the Elder.

76AD: War of Power. Civil. The family of Beretta come to ruling power. Led by Beret the Great.

89AD - 103AD: War of Materials. International. Berettasia goes to war and invades nations with good resources. Won by Berettasia. Led by Beret the Great.

105AD - 109AD: War of Rebellion. Civil. Smaller families become discontent at their weakness decide to band together to take Berettasia from control of the Beretta family. The superior Beretta family, led by Beret the Great, defeats the weaker, less structured familes.

111AD - 115AD: Wars of Revenge. Civil. The family of Beretta wipes out most traces of the families who rebelled against their leadership. Led by Beret the Great.

132AD - 149AD: War of The Woods. International. Berettasia takes over many small territories with decent wood for building materials. Led by Beret the Great.

157AD - 278AD: War of The Rulers. Civil. The family of Beretta split into two. One group favours a more peaceful attitude to life and equality. Early communism? The other side prefers power and action. Needless to say the soldiers beat the crap out the commies. Communist Berettas led by Beret the Blonde. Soldiers by Beret the Great and Beret the Fearless.

310AD - 459AD: Wars of Peacetime. International. The Beretta family, bored with the piece go and invade more territory. Led by Beret the Fearless and Beret the Blesséd.

481AD - 501AD: War of Atonement. Civil. The Beretta family decide to start the Church of Berettasia. Needless to say that more well-founded religions disagreed with them. The Berettas trounced the various other religions preaching peace, equality and diplomacy. Led by Beret the Blesséd.

550AD - 639AD: Wars of Masonary. International. Family of Beretta takes the country to war for stone. Led by Beret the Brick.

670AD - 681AD: Wars of Cliveonia. International. Berettasia invades the potato loving pacifists and change their lives forever. The Cliveonian royal family becomes amalgamated into the family of Beretta. All future generations of Berettas have a distinct liking of potatos.

703AD - 749AD: War of the Limes. International. Limes imported to Berettasia fall short of thier standards. Berettasia invades the lime producers of Revolversia. The reign of The Empire begins! Led by Beret the Nutjob.

782AD - 791AD: War of Exilement. Civil. Uprising against the ruling family Beretta. They are driven out in 790AD only for them to come back with an enormous army recruited from the lime producing territories of Revolversia. Beretta invades and takes back control. Rebels are executed. Led by Beret the Nutjob.

802AD - 868AD: War of the Goldrush. International. Nearby country Lawyersia discovers gold. Beretta family want the gold and they take it, and the country, by force. Empireal expansion continues. Led by Beret the Brainless.

872AD - 888AD: War of the Witches. Witch fever grips the nation. The family Beretta declares war on the witches. Many innocent old ladies slaughtered. Let by Beret the Brainless.

900AD - 1000AD: War of the Plagues. International. Plague reaches Berettasia. The only answer to stop plague? Beret the Stupid declares war on all countries that had trade relations with Berettasia. Seven more countries invaded. Campaign ended by Beret the Shortarse. Empireal expansion continues. Plague doesn't. Territories added to The Empire are Bushmillsia, Coltasia, Chardonnasia, Goldisia, Havenersia, Joasia and Kalashnikoversia.

1045AD - 1047AD: War of the Revolution. Civil. Yet another uprising against the family Beretta. Yet again quickly quashed. Military efficiency gorwing. Led by Beret the Shortarse.

1102AD - 1379AD: Wars of the Rennaisance. Unwanted culture comes to Berettasia. The Beretta family lead the army to yet another victory and invade some more territories in the name of culture. Another eight countries think Berettasian. These are Lambrinisia, Cindersia, Explosivia, Oceanisia, Magnumisia, Chloesia, Solicitorsia and Nellerzia. More Empireal Expansion. Led by Beret the Shortarse, Beret the Potatohead and Baret the Queer.

1399AD - 1437AD: The Commemorative Wars. Mock wars during peacetime that recreated the way Berettasia and The Empire was founded. Led by Beret the Queer.

1498AD - 1567AD: The War of the Coffee. Coffee grown in far flung land. News spreads to Berettasia. The family Beretta lead their army to invade. Plutonisia becomes part of The Empire. Led by Beret the Greedy.

1604AD - 1643AD: The Mercury Wars. Berettasia learns how useful mercury is and declare war on the country that produced the most. Beret the Metallic led the army to Mercurisia and conquered them. One more territory to go on the expansion list.

1736AD - 1893AD: The Wars of Technology. Early guns developed in Berettasia. Of course they have to be tested. The guns greatly improve as the wars go on. Berettasia known to be a world leader in arms production by now. More territories added, these being Casinoria, Dangerwercia, Platinumasia, Semtexisia, Tiamarisia and Whiskyiasia. Led by Beret the Bully, Beret the Bodybuilder and finished off by Beret the Bulletproof.

1900AD - 1937AD: The War of Intelligence. Spies become popular in the world. Berettasia instantly trains a crack squad of spies and uses them to gain vast amounts of intelligence. The day of the spy is coming. Led by Beret the Paranoid.
