Bio Generators

This is Friendly Aliens most useful technological advance to date. However it would have never been discovered without the presence of Friendly Aliens' numerous radiation caverns.

One night in Friendly Aliens during a routine exploration of the countryside surrounding the massive super cities. An LADF patrol came across another of the radiation caverns which are now situated around the whole of Friendly Aliens. But this cavern was different from the others (it had bright beams of natural light coming from inside it) and the LADF despached a unit of Friendly Aliens Techs to explore the radiation cavern. After a few hours of exploration the source of the bright light was found. It was a huge patch of algae which had mutated.

Later after significant research it was found that it is able to create light to fuel its own photosynthesis so the algae could survive the dark conditions of the caverns. It was named Photus.

The significance of this discovery was not realised until the invention of the HD solar cell. Friendly Aliens needed a power generator which didn't rely on solar power however they didn't want to use nuclear or fossil fuels due to the risk of explosion and the pollution. After many months of research, a researcher suggested using the Photus combined with the refined solar technology.

The product was the Bio Generator, it can be as small as an AAA battery or as large as conventional nuclear reactor. It mainly consists of a cylinder which has on one side a patch of Photus and on the other a layer of HD solar cells. The power generated by the generator is no where as powerful as a nuclear generator the same size however it is relatively simple and alot safer so Friendly Aliens has fully embraced it as the modern age power generation technology.

Also the generator is completely self sufficient, and it doesn't need anything from the outside once the generator is completed.
