Björn Cooper, Jr. is the current Citizen Assembly (CA) leader of Ceorana. His job is to announce decisions of the Citizen Assembly and conduct discussions. It should be noted that the Citizen Assembly doesn't actually meet, but uses Electronic Voting Apparatusses to use internet-based communication for debate and secure voting. This means that Cooper very rarely sees any of the other leaders of the CA in person.

Background

Cooper was born in Tzatzing, Ceorana, to Björn C. Cooper (Sr.) and Kari Randall. He studied journalism and politics at the University of Ceorana and worked under, and eventually replaced, his father at the Ceorana Herald before becoming active in politics in 2006.

Political Roles

Many members of the Pre-Revolution Ceoranan Executive Council were found to be corrupt, partly through reporting work by Cooper and his fellow journalists. Cooper was saddened by the fact that his father was indeed part of the scandal and had to leave the country, but was bound by his responsibilities as a journalist to accurately write about the story. In fact, he actually become a leading member of The Reformers, a group that tried to reform the Ceoranan government system into one more inclined towards capitalism. After the revolution was over, he was elected the leader of the Citizen Assembly of Ceorana.

Random Facts

  • Cooper is the only politician in Ceoranan history to succeed his father in two positions.
  • Cooper is an avid skateboarder, although for government business he usually rides a bicycle.
