Imp

Overview:

The Imp is designed to run small strikes in great numbers against other enemy frigates, or used in dog fighting situations. An array of complex ion engines line the backside of the ship, giving it far superior speed than any of the other ships, matched only by the Longspear.

Talon

Overview:

The Talon is a reconosance vehicle, suitable for scouting missions. It lacks physical weaponry, but makes up for its inadequacies in electronic warfare and defensive systems. It's main strength is in the option to change around the electronic weapons on any of the four available bays, to customise the ship depending on a given mission. A group of ten Talon craft can drift around acting as a huge detection device, with forty different peripherals each.

Heavy Frigates

Nimrod

Overview:

The Nimrod is as of yet the only ship in the Braxian fleet to carry any sort of rocket launcher, making it quite the sought after piece of hardware. Explosive, piercing and plasma rockets can be loaded on-the-fly into the two wing-mounted launchers, alongside a single high-powered torpedo. The Nimrod is a typically slow ship, and can usually be found with an escort to fend off smaller, faster fighters.

Torrasque

Overview

The Torrasque is a beast of a frigate, primarily developed for quick and heavy siege runs. It is generally equipped with an array of side-mounted beam lasers and railguns, intended to pack a heavy series of hits in a short amount of time, whilst its eight ion engines speed it away before fighters even have time to respond. The Torrasque however, are few in number due to their incredibly high priced engine systems and the sheer energy requirement.

Trident

Overview

Till now, little has been revealed about the largest heavy frigate available in the Braxian fleet. The Trident Heavy Frigate works on blaster turrets mounted to each of its four wingtips. The main problem of blaster turrets however, is the rapid dispersion of the containment field, thus giving the ship a low range. The Trident was deemed a failed experiment in the long run, but twenty of these ships still serve the fleet, used primarily for taking out permanent space-installations.
