Brodegstein

The nation of Brodegstein resides on the continent of Progalu, boarded by Mishrack to the west, Cimmura to the south and the ocean to the north and the east.

Brodegstein dates back to antiquity, Although it wasn’t officially a nation.

To understand Brodegstein’s past we have to delve back into the history of Mishrack and Cimmura also. Back before written languages, Brodegstein existed as a region of feudal warlords who viciously oppressed their surfs. Eventually there was a revolt amongst the peasants and the lower class peoples. The Warlords and their people were banished from the known realm down the river with the rest of their households. The warlords eventually found a place to settle and became Mishrack.

The leader of the resistance, Brodeg Hammerforge, was set up as the head of state. He set up a democratic process of election and began the building of the capitol, Adumar. The Reign of Brodeg in the as of yet, un-named country was relatively short however, as Brodeg Hammerforge was killed soon after while he was boar hunting. The boar that killed him was artfully preserved and hangs opposite his painting in the capitol.

To honor Brodeg Hammerforge, The nation was posthumously named after him. After much debating however it was soon changed to Brodegstein.

Years passed and not much happened until contact with a new nation resulted in a fierce and bloody fight. Brodegstein had made first contact with the Dominion of Mishrack and Torak the second. The nation experienced a quick buildup of the military and a law instituting the mandatory service of one year in the military by all persons was instituted. The Society of Libertarians lobbied unsuccessfully to make overtures of peace with warlord Torak the second and radically change the government and national structure. This lead to political dissention and most of the national colleges picked up and left the country to the south and eventually formed Cimmura.

After a few short wars, an accord was made between Mishrack and Brodegstein, an uneasy peace settled upon the continent.

Generations passed in relative peace.

Then, less than twenty years ago, the ultimate grandson of Brodeg Hammerforge took the seat of power, and life reached an all time high. Official Governmental contact was established with the rest of Moperville, and Brodegstein joined Moperville soon after.

Brodeg brought Brodegstein into the Moperville Regional Randomite Board and trade amongst nations prospered and grew.
