The People's Republic of CNNP is a huge, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 321 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Commerce and Education are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 59%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries.

Birds and children's kites are regularly brought down by anti-aircraft fire, fur coats have become the latest fashion trend, abortion is only legal in unusual circumstances, and naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. CNNP's national animal is the llama, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the denar.
