Captain Freedom and the Minutemen

Captain Freedom and the Minutemen was an animated television series created by Kevin Nivensky and produced by Sandra DeMented and Nicholas Goog to promote Libertarianism. The series was developed and animated by Allanean News Network and continues in syndication.

Story

Lady Liberty, the living embodyment of Allanean ideals, is awoken from a long sleep by statist activity harming the world,. Realizing that the damage was extensive, Lady Liberty created five magic rings, each with the power to summon a single aspect of the ideology. Liberty sent the rings to five chosen youths across the globe: Alexander Niven, an Allanean, Abdullah Smith, a Khristian, Nomingard, a Menalmacari, Moshe Heifetz, a Kahanistani Jew and Fessas, an elf refugee from Iesus Christi.

These five were dubbed The Minutemen; and were given the task of protecting the world the greatest of disasters and doing their part to keep others from happening. Lady Liberty used her Planet Vision to discover where the greatest threats to individual liberty were occuring and sent the minutemen to help solve the problem. The Minutemen used high-powered automobiles and fighter planes in order to get to their objective, such as Blastolene Specials and F-117s.

In situations that the Minutemen could not handle on their own, they could combine and magnify their powers to summon Captain Freedom, who possesses all of their powers magnified, symbolizing that the combined efforts of a team are stronger than its individual parts. Captain Freedom is humanoid in composition, with silvery-blue skin and his black hair. He wears blue gloves, boots, trunks, and epaulets, and a camoflage suit. Like many superheroes, he has superhuman strength and the ability to fly.

Despite his vulnerability to propaganda – he begins to feel horrendous pain when exposed to government propaganda broadcasting which opposes the values of individual liberty, Captain Freedom is a formidable and valiant hero. Once his work is done, Captain Freedom returns to the Earth, restoring the Minutemen's powers. When he does this, Captain Freedom reminds viewers of the message of the series with his catchphrase, “The power is yours!”
