Cazalan is an established community of just over 119,000 that is now apart of the Locke Harbour City State. It was named after John Cazalan who was a wealthy farm owner in the 1800s who owned much of the land that the neighbourhood now resides on.

Though small in size, due to its huge population, Cazalan, like all the other neighbourhoods in the Locke Harbour City State has one mayor to represent the people in both the Locke Harbour City State assembly, and the Locke Harbour Region parliament. Jeremy Franklin is the current mayor representing the city.
