In Hamptonshire, the Chief Cabinet Secretary is charged with directing the Cabinet Secretariat. The Chief Cabinet Secretary serves as the government's press secretary, conducts policy research, oversees the Cabinet's administrative operations and prepares materials to be discussed at cabinet meetings. The Secretary also acts as Chief of Staff to the Federal Chancellor.
