The Circum-Zansk War was a medium-sized war which was fought by the Zansk Kingdom and its allies against other nations, chiefly Aurum Domus, Wagdog, Shazbotdom and Vetaka. (In Progress)

Background

Fall of democracy in Zanski

After an internet poll, Zanski became a single-party state in which only the king (Kang Arma) and his parliament (Which included his father, Modi Arma) ruled the country, mainly to stamp out gang culture and terrorism. While it was successful in doing this, it also began to slowly take away the Zansk people's freedom.

Attempted Zaynite Coup Foiled

In 1967, the Zaynite National Front, the political and military entity that controlled the Zaynite region in Mhoudia, was accused of arranging a coup after documents were found in the Zaynah region of Mhoudia by Mhoudian soldiers. Sixty-Seven Zaynites and three Zansk citizens were captured and executed without trial. But even though a post-mortem investigation showed that all Seventy were guilty, the events attracted much foreign attention, both positive and negative.

Zanski's "War on Communism"

In 1968, King Kang Arma announced that Communism was largely illegal, except in families (although there were restrictions), and all travel or contact to marxist nations was banned. Many nations stepped forward and protested, and sanctions were put on Zanski and Zanski was blockaded. The only Zansk city to protest was Xanka, and the Government massacred three hundred student rioters. Again, the international community expressed huge outrage.

National Response & Riots

Most towns denounced the massacre but thought that it had to be done.

However, after the massacre, huge riots kept popping up in Xanka and for a time, some bouroughs rid themselves of any police or Zansk military. These riots included the Hederah Riot, the Yugne Riot, the Xuvia Massacre and the New Eilat revolt.

During these riots, Kang Arma's father Modi denounced the forementioned massacre and was imprisoned in an underground bunker in the borough of Kludia in Zanski by his son.

The death toll for these riots is well over three thousand.

Xanka Red Authority

Eventually, one of the riots forced the government out of Xanka and Xanka was put under a semi-communist (though it denied this) military government with ideas of future democracy and political freedom. This was called the Xanka Red Authority and 'De Facto' control over the area was recognised. This government was supported by many nations. No attempts were made to reclaim Xanka by Arma's forces and no attempts were made to expand the Red Authority's area of influence.

Civil War?

The usage of the term "Civil war" in reference to the ousting of 'Kangist' forces from Xanka is controversial, as although the XRA and New Xanka Authority (NXA) had their own army, not many people died in the actual ousting of the King's men. It is more commonly referred to as "Civil Unrest".

International Response

After these events, a handful of nations started a blockade and embargo on zanski. many ships were sunk in this time, known as the Great Embargo (Grante Haut) in Zanski.

The Zaynite Genocide/Massacres

About a week into the Embargo, several nations picked up images Via OBSAT of Zansk soldiers transporting Zaynites into an area a kilometer outside Mrahed called the Marahed Valley and shooting them, at best estimates there were 30,000-100,000 of them. As soon as King Kang denied this and refused to stop the killings, the nations of Wagdog and Vetaka and Shazbotdom invaded Zanski at Club Beach (Kulup) in the Karazistan region of Mhoudia, up north. Zanski invaded this area, but the army was badly equipped and Kangist forces were pushed back. As a result of the blatancy of his whereabouts in the new capital of Shuza, Kang exiled himself into the South Jayirian Mountains, in North Mhoudia.

New Nicksyllvania emerged at this point on the side of King Kang.

The NMTA

Karazi Tribesmen met up with other Tribes and created the Northern Mhoudia Tribal Alliance (NMTA) which allied the Karazi, Mudan and Fassak tribes of Karazistan that had been warring until this moment. The NMTA set up a de facto governance of the area with permission from the Zansk Puppet President of Mhoudia, Ahmad Janab. The NMTA also built many hospitals to up its reputation, and did not let the Wagdian, Vetakan or Shazboti forces advance any westwards into Karazi territory.

Invasion of Zaynah

the NMTA, Mhoudian, New Nicksyllvanian and Zansk armies all crossed the borders with over a million troops respectively, and 600,000 Zaynites relocated to Mrahed. But as the Troops fought the Zaynite National Front and were winning, the Wagdie-allied troops parachuted into Mrahed on the side of the ZNF. over 200,000 artillery rockets, 29% of Zansk stock, were fired into Mhoudia at this point. This battle tested the Zansk army so much that as an acknowledgement of the results of its heavy war ammunitions losses, Zanski handed over power to New Nicksyllvanian Zanski.
